Welcome to Farnsfield Cricket Club

Our newly refurbished Clubhouse offers something for everyone…

Welcome to Farnsfield Cricket Club

We know from references found in Nottinghamshire newspapers that a cricket match was played in Farnsfield in June 1817, and Farnsfield Cricket Club was born. It moved to the ground it now occupies in 1862 and in 2012 celebrated its 150th anniversary.

The acquisition of the nearby Edingley Cricket Pitch in 2013 enables all three Saturday teams to be play at home grounds for their home fixtures.

The club are fortunate to have three senior teams playing on a Saturday and are able to offer many opportunities for our players of all abilities and ages.

The First XI are playing in the Nottinghamshire Premier Cricket League.

The Second XI currently play Division 2 of the Bassetlaw & District League.

Third XI currently play Division 6 of the Bassetlaw & District Cricket League.

The Sunday XI are playing in the Mansfield & District Cricket League Premier Division.

We offer Junior cricket, which is a major focus for the club, Friday evenings practise sessions are May to August. Kwik cricket is offered to children between the ages of 6-11 years and hardball teams compete in the Mansfield and District Youth Cricket League in the Under 11, Under 13 and Under 15 age groups.

More details to be found in the Junior section.

The club is fully licensed to sell beer, wines and spirits in the clubhouse.

The Club is proud to have held the ECB’s Clubmark accreditation since 2004.
